Even better.  And I just finished 
the mv code. ;^p I did see that the 
code was calling mv not it was a 
perl command.

"mv" is not a perl command, you would need to call it as a system
command. "rename" is the built-in perl function you want. You do need
a comma between arguments though, like :
rename oldfilename, newfilename
